Mira Schoppe was born in Downeast Maine on a small family farm. She was raised with a holistic approach to nutrition, health, and wellness. This built a strong foundation of healthy eating, exercising, and supporting a healthy mind and spirit. After high school, during a busy summer of working in Bar Harbor, she received her first massage. She was immediately amazed at the revitalizing affect massage had on her! Striving to create balance with her busy life she decided to make it a priority to receive regular bodywork. Mira moved to Vail in 2001 where she embraced the mountain culture, taking to the slopes as much as possible between long hours of restaurant work. Sparked with an interest in health care, Mira took many classes in Human Anatomy and Physiology. This eventually led to enrolling in a Doctorate program in Physical Therapy and then enrolling into Massage School. Now as a licensed massage therapist, Mira is able to help others improve both their physical, mental, and spiritual wellbeing, offering customized bodywork and always an open ear.
Mira has created a space to allow you to slow down from this busy world and take time to connect with your inner self. Mira continues her professional education allowing her to offer a wide range of modalities to be able to help each individual. Whether you are an athlete looking for support before or after an event, someone looking for a quiet hour of relaxation, or a client wanting a focused cellulite cupping treatment, Mira will provide ample time to communicate your goals and wishes before your hands on treatment.
Between clients, Mira can be found spending time with her family (daughter Freya, Crosby the dog, and Curtis) or soaking up her local surroundings; either trail running, hiking, mountain biking, or snowboarding. If she is not out enjoying her backyard, she is probably experiencing a new culture while on an international adventure!
